Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute of Drug Abuse intends to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with Carl Zeiss Microimaging, LLC, One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594-1939 for an upgrade to from LSM Axiovert 100M to be compatible with Axio Observer Z1 under its current GSA schedule. In addition, NIDA has a requirement for compatible parts not under the GSA schedule. This acquisition will be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Following are features of the compatible parts: •LSM Axiovert 100-Observer SP upgrade •LSM Control Computer Upgrade •LCD TFTMonitor 30” HP ZR30w •SW upgrade LSM510 ZEN 2007 for R3.0 •SW upgrade ZEN 2008 for ZEN 2007 •SW upgrade ZEN 2009 for ZEN 2008 Carl Zeiss Microimaging is the only known source for the compatible parts to the GSA LSM Axiovert 100 Observer upgrade. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit statement of capabilities in response to this synopsis on or before 3:00 PM EST December 7, 2010. All information furnished must be writing and must contain sufficient details to allow the government to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposed of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Response to this synopsis number 1852347 may be submitted electronically to the NIDA, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition Branch, and Attention: Jasmine Snoddy, Contract Specialist.
