- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis a quantity of seven hundred fifty (750) Brand Name Sixnet IP67 Military Ethernet Switches with Rugged D38999 Connectors. Competition will be sought from authorized Sixnet distributors. Only this specific make and model will satisfy the Government ™s minimum requirements with regard to the configuration, compatibility to existing equipment and performance. QUESTIONS: All questions shall be submitted in writing to NSWCDD Contract Specialist, Susan Cusic, at Susan.Cusic@navy.mil no later than 21 December 2010. All questions received and answers provided under this announcement will be issued as an amendment to the solicitation which will reside at FBO web site http://www.fbo.gov and NECO website https://www.neco.navy.mil under Solicitation N00178-11-R-1023. GENERAL INFORMATION: This is a pre-solicitation notice for N00178-11-R-1023 which is anticipated to open on 15 December 2010. The NAICS code is 335313 with a size standard of 750 employees. The government reserves the right to award on all or none basis or to make partial awards to fulfill the needs of the government. The award shall be firm fixed price. FOB Destination shall apply. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by this agency. This pre-solicitation notice does not commit the Government to award of any contract under the above listed terms Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity (DFAR 252.204-7004). Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by accessing the CCR web site at https://www.bpn.gov/CCRSearch/Search.aspx Prospective contractors must complete electronic representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration in the CCR database. The representations and certifications must be updated as necessary, but at least annually, to ensure they are kept current, accurate and complete (FAR 4.12).
