Description
General Specifications (For security reasons replace the windows/doors of the Satellite control, master control, safe heaven and transmitter hall part of the station building). J.2(a)Scope The intention of this work is to secure the station building with windows and outside doors that meet the five minute forced entry (FE) standard. At the Lampertheim Transmitting Station at Lampertheim, Germany. (b)General Requirements (1) Contractor is to supply all labor, machines, tools material (windows, doors, gratings and cyber locks) as required and equipment necessary to perform the required work. (2)All installation work is to conform to appropriate European and German DIN/VDE, BG and CE standards. The Contractor is to ensure that all work is to be performed in accordance to U. S. and local safety standards. (3) Contractor has to install the windows, doors, gratings and cyber locks as follows: Before the Contractor begins the installation work he must install a plastic dust wall to protect the offices, equipment from dust and dirt. Then the old windows and doors must be de-mounted and disposed of, in accordance with local governing regulations. Installation of twenty seven windows with window boards, in different sizes, made of aluminum, able to tilt, meet the five minute standard, the handles must lock-able and the paint must be white standard burnt in. Installation of seven double winged doors made of steel, double walled, fit with security glass; and six single doors, made of double walled steel. All doors are fitted with door handles, self closing anti-panic locks, panic bolts, drive bolts, door automatically closes, the paint must be standard white burnt in and the doors must meet the five minute standard. Three doors must be fitted with a code lock. Contractor has to install three gratings outside at windows M9-M11. Then the Contractor has to insulate, plaster and paint the surrounding of the windows and the doors of the in-, outsides and cover the surrounding of the outsides with a special plaster. The work contract includes delivery and installation of all necessary attachments that will be needed to install/replace the windows, doors and gratings. (4) Working hours are from 07:30 to 15:30 hours (5 days/week); however, the field is to be cleared by 15:30 hours. The broadcasts schedule is subject to change; the site supervisor will advise of any schedule changes that will impact the contractor's work schedule. On German national and American Holidays the Station will be closed. Additional working time is at the discretion of the site supervisor. Schedule: The performance for this project has to be determined in calendar days 20 between IBB officials and contractor.. (5) Utilities including water, electrical, and sanitation are available at site. If utilities are need in work area, the Contractor shall be responsible at his own expense for temporary connections and subsequent removal and restoration there of after contract work is completed. Contractor must request and coordinate utility connections with site supervisor. (6) Contractor is to clean work areas and remove all excess and waste materials from site at completion of work. (7) Contractor must observe all site security regulations and ensure that no prohibited materials are brought to site. (8) Work may be inspected during various stages of progress to ensure compliance with requirements. Station Manager will provide contract management and will supply names of persons authorized to provide direction on his behalf and to answer questions with regard to this work or site regulations. (9) Contractor shall make immediate changes to work completed or under progress should the work not conform the requirements and if changes not agree to by Station Manager or designated representative. The Contractor should make these changes as expeditiously as possible within the completion period of the Purchase Order. (10)Contractor must provide a competent supervisor at work site for all periods when construction work is in progress. (11)Contractor must show adequate proof of insurance to cover any damage to station facility or grounds and must keep insurance in effect during construction period. (12)Warranty period of all work after acceptance shall be two years.
