Description
Draft Performance Work Statement Request For Information This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government is seeking input form interested parties on the below DRAFT relevancy areas for Passenger (PAX) Terminal Security and to identify potential sources. The requirements is for non-personal services support to the 721 Aerial Port Squadron (APS). The contractor shall provide passenger screening inspections and general terminal security funtions at the Ramstein Air Mobility Command's Passanger Terminal, in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Government requests that interested parties provide feedback, concerns and insights into relevancy as soon as possible, but not later than 2 December 2010, 1600 Central European Time. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 561612, Security Guards and Patrol Services. There is no Small Business Size Standard associated with this requirement as FAR 19.1, does not apply outside of the United States or its outlying areas. In addition to any feedback provided, interested parties are asked to provide a response to the following questions: 1. How would you recommend the relevancy areas be adjusted or revised? Why? 2. How many pages, per offeror would you recommend to repond to the below relevancy areas and to reflect any citations submitted by offerors? RELEVANCY AREAS SECURITY SERVICES (1) Surveillance of alarm systems and physical facility security (2) Provided security for Governmental agencies or commercial airports TERMINAL SECURITY SUPPORT (1) A minimum of 1-year of experience in training and checking personnel, personal identification and baggage for dangerous items. (2) Terminal security and baggage screener functions. (3) Use of X-Ray, Magnetometer and ION Scanning equipment Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this RFI is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information. The information obtained from industries responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future RFP. The company's standard format is acceptable; however, the limit for all responses is not to exceed three (3) single-sided, 12 font size, 8 ½ x 11-inch pages.. Contractors capable of providing these services should submit responses containing requested information via e-mail to Katherine.Lee@ramstein.af.mil, the Government points of contact for this synopsis are Ms. Joanna L. Green, Contracting Officer and Ms. Katherine Lee, Contract Specialist. Each submission should be virus scanned prior to being sent. Electronic submission is required. NOTE: E-mail submissions are subject to size and type restrictions (typically limited to less than 2 megabyte in size and only non-executable attachments such as.doc or.pdf files) as well as any other appropriate network security measures. It is the respondent's responsibility to verify the e-mail was received and can be viewed. All responses must address each of the above stated requirements.
