The Government proposes to acquire, on a sole source basis from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando, Cage Code 04939, Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Site / Pilots Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) Modernized Laser Range Finder Designator (M-LRFD) Production Lot 1 with basic requirements including estimated quantities of 33 each M-LRFD Kits, 1 lot Initial Spares, 1 lot Replenishment Spares, 1 lot Depot Lay-In Spares, 1 Lot Engineering Services and option requirements for an estimated quantity of 20 each M-LRFD Kits, 1 lot Initial Spares, 1 lot Replenishment Spares, 1 lot Depot Lay-In Spares and 1 lot Engineering Services under the authority and justification for Other than Full and Open Competition of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), based on the determination that the Government needs can only be satisfied by one source. Only Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Orlando possesses the technical expertise, data and experience necessary to execute this requirement.
