- Description
- The USDA NRCS in New York is preparing to issue a solicitation for work authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program due to recent heavy rain with resultant flooding conditions. This streambank stabilization work is to relieve imminent hazards to life and property. The work consists of site dewatering, erosion and sediment control, installation of approximately 280 linear feet of peak stone toe, and three (3) rock stream barbs to stabilize the stream bank along Eighteen Mile Creek in the Town of Boston, Erie County, New York. Alternative payment protection in the amount of 50% of contract amount in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit will be required within 5 calendar days of award of contract. The location of the work sites will be within the flooded areas and as described in the solicitations. All necessary permits and land rights have been acquired. A firm-fixed price award is anticipated under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation package, construction drawings and specification will be posted and available from this site on or about November 22, 2010. Bid opening will be on or about Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.. A pre-bid site showing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010 on site. Meet at the Patchin Fire Hall parking lot next to Anthony Gulf. Price Range is between $25,000 - $100,000 Maximum performance time will be 12 calendar days
