Description
The U.S. Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center of Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources interested in procuring an additional approximate quantity of 500 MK19 Mod 3 40MM Grenade Machine Guns (GMG) in support of Foreign Military Sales and other Federal Agencies. Given the unpredictable nature of the requirement, only small scale orders are anticipated to be placed at time of receipt. At the present time the anticipated first order placed would consist of approximately 23 GMGs. Only contractors willing and able to produce the approximate required quantities should respond. The MK19 Mod 3 GMG is a crew served, man portable, 40 MM grenade machine guncapable of full automatic fire delivering aimed fire to area targets up to2212 meters and with a rate of fire of 325-375 rounds per minute (RPM). TheMK19 Mod 3 GMG can be mounted on the ground or on vehicle applications. The MK19 Mod 3 GMG is a sensitive Category II item as described under DOD5100.76-M, Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition andExplosives. Category II Transportation Protective Service (TPS) of ArmedGuard Surveillance while in transit is required pursuant to AR 55-355, Defense Traffic Management Regulation. In accordance with current DOD Policy, all security sensitive items will be procured under For Origin Only delivery items. Contractors must provide proof and demonstrate the ability to manufacture the MK19 Mod 3 GMG in accordance with drawing 12997550 and meet the performance characteristics outlined in MIL-G-70790. The contractor is required to provide appropriate firing ranges to constrain the function firing of the MK19 Mod 3 GMG in accordance with the proper adherence to Army and OSHA standards. Contractors are required to successfully complete First Article Testing. The USG requires approximate first delivery of MK19 Mod3 GMGs 180 days after contract award date. All technical documents associated with this procurement are marked with Distribution Statement D. To obtain a copy of this Technical Data Package (TDP): Interested parties must email an approved DD Form 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, a completed and signed AMSTA-AR Form 1350 Technical Data Request Questionnaire with the U.S. State Department letter that contains the registration number and valid expiration date, and a completed and signed U.S.Government Non-Disclosure / Non-Use Agreement. This is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formal solicitation available at this time. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made from this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Please provide your capabilities NO LATER THAN 1 DECEMBER 2010. Interested companies are requested to submit a capabilities statement within 2 weeks of this notice. Interested firms should also provide their address, point-of-contact with telephone number, e-mail address, and type of business (Small Business, Large Business, 8a Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Small Business). All responses to this Market Survey shall be in writing (English Language).
