The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limitednumber of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. The solicitation identifies theoffice where additional information can be obtained concerningqualification requirements are cited in each individual solicitation.To include all required reports and data.This part required engineering source approval by the design controlactivity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing uniquedesign capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge bythe qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from theapproved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights,manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economicallyavailable to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential tomaintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualifyin accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approvedby the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualificationprocedures must be approved by the Government engineering activityhaving jurisdiction over the part in the intended application.
