Description
Yak-B 12.7mm Machine Gun or Equivalent The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 in support of the Office of the Product Manager, Crew Served Weapons and the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM- ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ are currently seeking information for the worldwide availability of Yak-B 12.7mm machine guns, with zip kits, or an equivalent substitute. Available quantities along with the condition (new, refurbished, used, etc.) of the weapon(s) should be stated in the response or if the supplier has the capability to manufacture the weapon or suitable equivalent. The Yak-B is a 12.7mm caliber four barreled Gatling gun used on the Mi-35 helicopter currently in use by the Afghan National Army. It is mounted in the front nose turret and is remotely controlled. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their responses in regard to the above within 15 days of this notice; however responses received after 15 days will be accepted and this notice will serve as a continuous open announcement. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Please include company name, address, telephone number, technical point of contact, and brochures/literature. Interested firms should adequately describe their experience with the Yak-B machine gun. This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLITICATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
