Description
National Security Technologies LLC (NSTec), Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) division is conducting an evaluation of cellular telephone detection for Emergency Response applications. It is the desire of NSTec/RSL to develop a list of candidate systems to be included in the evaluation. From this list, successful candidates will be acquired and tested to determine cost effective methods of mobile telephone equipment detection. The cellular detection equipment will be evaluated and tested based on their ability to detect a variety of mobile handsets from several service providers. It is expected that most detection equipment will not cover all of the frequencies (bands) and protocol combinations currently in use. The fact that the detection capability of a specific instrument is limited will not disqualify it from the first phase of the evaluation. Coverage of multiple protocols and multiple bands is highly desirable. Although all frequency bands worldwide (OCONUS) are of interest, the ability of the instrumentation to operate within the frequency bands used in the United States (CONUS) is required. Interested parties are to respond with: •· Model and manufacturer information •· Procurement source(s) •· Cost estimate •· And relevant technical information on protocols and frequency bands covered. (See additional info below.) Additional Information: Desired protocol capability: •· iDen •· GSM •· CDMA •· UMTS -- 3G (W-CDMA) •· LTE - 4G •· WiFi (IEEE 802.11p) Desired frequency band capability: •· 800 Mhz (iDen) CONUS •· 900 Mhz OCONUS •· 850 Mhz CONUS •· 1800 Mhz OCONUS •· 1900 Mhz CONUS •· 1750 & 2100 CONUS •· Others?
