Description
This publication serves as notice of intent to procure observer house rentals from San Carlos Agency for National Marine Fisheries. Authority for sole-source purchase is 41 USC 253 (c) (1) only one responsible source and no other source will satisfy agency needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date of this publication will be considered by the government. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed attention to Pamela G. Jones (858) 546-7004 or emailed to pamela.g.jones@noaa.gov. This is a simplified acquisition. Two rental houses are required (one from 1 Jan-19 Feb 2011 and one from 7 Jan-6 Feb 2011) for observer teams participating in the 2011 gray whale survey, which is conducted from a NOAA facility just south of Carmel. The longer term house must have three bedrooms and options for sleeping overflow scientists for short periods. The second house must have at least 2 bedrooms providing accommodations for a maximum of 4 scientists. Houses must be close to one another, preferably adjacent, to simplify transportation logistics and data analysis efforts during the evening. Task 1. Provide one rental house in Carmel, CA, during 1 Jan - 19 Feb 2011 that has 3 bedrooms and options for sleeping additional scientists for short periods. The house should be fully furnished, including linens, and have a fully equipped kitchen. Task 2. Provide a second rental house in Carmel, CA, during 7 Jan - 6 Feb 2011 that is in close proximity, preferably adjacent, to house #1 described above, that has at least 2 bedrooms providing accommodations for a maximum of 4 scientists. The house should be fully furnished, including linens, and have a fully equipped kitchen. The National Marine Fisheries requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with CCR and be eligible to receive an award from this Acquisition Office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUN). A DUN & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet online at www.dnb/eupdate or by phone at (800) 333-0505.
