Description
This is a requirement for the Overhaul/Re-manufacture of the F-15EThrottle Grip Assembly. The contractor shall provide all labor,facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the overhaul, test,packing, preservation and packaging of the F-15E Throttle Grip Assembly.A firm fixed price requirements contract with one basic year iscontemplated. The solicitation number will be FA8118-11-R-0006.Solicitation will be issued on or about: 19 Nov 2010 and closes 20 Dec2010. The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per PRFD2030-11-35959 as follows: ITEMS:CLIN 0001: Overhaul: NSN 1680-01-442-9628YQP/N: 730-6013Noun: Throttle Grip AssemblyApplicable to F-15E aircraftCLIN 0002: Over and Above Work CLIN 0003: Data & Reports (Not Separately Priced). QUANTITY: CLIN 0001: Basic Year, Best Estimated Quantity 50 each. DELIVERY: CLIN 0001: 7 each per month 30 days after receipt of order andreparables. A Pre-Award Survey and Initial Production Evaluation (IPE) are required,but may be waived by the Government at the time of award. TheContractor shall be prepared for the IPE within 60 days of contractaward and/or receipt of reparables unless otherwise specified in thecontract. UID - If unit price exceeds $5,000 then UID requirements will apply. APPROVED SOURCES are: Mason Electric Company. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation whichshall be considered by the agency. The proposed contract action is forsupplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit andnegotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respondto the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not arequest for competitive proposals. However, all proposals receivedwithin forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existingbasic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsiswill be considered by the Government. A determination by the Governmentnot to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informationreceived will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors orpotential offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interestedparties are invited to call the Ombudsman at 405-736-3273. DO NOT CALLTHIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(ii), All responsible sources may submit acapability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be consideredby the agency Based upon market research, the Government is not using policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interestedparties may identify to the contracting officer their interest andcapability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercialitem within 15 days of this notice.
