- The purpose of this notice is to announce a meeting for a USAID/Colombia Strategy Briefing on April 21, 2009 from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. The Embassy's strategic approach, including the Mission’s proposed strategic framework, will be presented at the meeting. USAID's strategic framework will be posted on www.fbo.gov and written comments on the draft strategic framework from all interested parties is strongly encouraged. USAID/Colombia will also present a concept paper for the livelihoods solicitations that will be issued later this summer with respect to implementation of the proposed strategy. We believe it is vitally important to consult the broader development community and receive input prior to issuing any solicitations. The meeting will be held at the Mezzanine level of Ronald Reagan Building in the USAID Washington Headquarters at Knowledge Services Center/Library (M.018, M.017). If you wish to attend, please e-mail djohnston@usaid.gov, and lmckechnie@usaid.gov no later that 10:00a.m. on April 20, 2009. Solicitations for a Livelihoods Program as part of this strategy is expected to be issued on or about mid July 2009 and will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov). The publication of this notice or any subsequent solicitations does not obligate the U.S. Government to make an award.
