- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure services for the Department of Commerce (DOC), Northern Virginia US Export Assistance Center located in Arlington, VA on a sole source basis with Arlington County Economic Development Center. The government intends to acquire services using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice represents the only official notice. Proposed vendor shall provide ancillary services for maintaining the daily operations of the shared office space located at 1100 North Glebe Road, Suite 1500, Arlington, Virginia. These services are needed by International Trade Assistance in order to utilize the space that Arlington Economic Development is providing as part of the partner's equitable contribution under the Department of Commerce's Joint Project Authority. The sharing of office space will assist US&FCS and AED in meeting the exporting needs pursuant to this agreement the parties will work together to promote U.S. exports involving Arlington County businesses. This project enables the parties to pool resources to facilitate the identification of new- to-export and export-ready companies in the Northern Virginia area, specifically Arlington County, and to provide them enhanced benefits such as client counseling and overseas market assistance. The sharing of office space will assist US&FCS and AED in meeting the exporting needs of the business community in the aforementioned area, especially small¬ and medium-sized companies. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract with the period of performance commencing approximately from date of award thru Sept 30, 2011 with three option years. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561990 with a corresponding size standard of $7.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all submittals received by the due date set forth in this notice will be considered by the Government. This is a simplified acquisition estimated value not to exceed $150,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
