Description
The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) is planning to provide a six (6) month extension to a current contract W9113M-05-C-0219 with ITT CORPORATION, 2560 HUNTINGTON AVE # 200, ALEXANDRIA VA 22303-1404. This extension is for Lethality Testing and Criteria Development under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This effort will be accomplished per FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. No other known source can provide these services by the 28 November 2010 required timeframe. The period of performance will be extended from 28 November 2010 through 31 May 2011. This effort is to continue to develop requirements, computational analyses, test article fabrication, experimental investigations, data analysis/model development, conducting/supporting evaluations of interceptor concept/system performance and effectiveness, pre and post test computational analysis and determination of weapon system effectiveness against designated threats. The support is directly related to Kinetic Energy Weapons (KEW) missile Defense System Testing and effectiveness requirements against various air and ground based test events and Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) system effectiveness. A Secret Clearance will be required. Interested firms should submit their written qualifications both electronic and hard copy no later than 19 November 2010 at 3:00pm CST to USASMDC/ARSTRAT, ATTN: SMDC-RDC-AB/Diana McCown, Bldg 5220, Huntsville, AL 35898.
