- This is a request for information (RFI). This is not a solicitation. This RFI is being conducted for information and planning purposes only. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract as a result of this RFI. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources of an AM2 Matting extrusion in accordance with Drawing #513273 rev F. The aforementioned drawing packages contain Export Controlled Data and are subject to the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C SEC 2751). Contractors must be certified by the Defense Logistics Services Center and have a current DD2345 on file. Please include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, with your request. The Expeditionary Airfield (EAF) Concept is a shore based, aviation weapons support system which permits deployment of landing force aircraft within effective range of ground forces. This concept allows for the construction of portable, reusable, forward-deployed airfields which can be assembled in a building block concept for the rapid introduction of air power. These airfields are fabricated from aluminum panels, designated AM2 Mat. The AM2 Mat expanses can be assembled to form an airfield's runways, taxiways, parking areas, and other areas required for aircraft operations and maintenance. Extrusion size shall be 2 ft. X 12 ft. Material shall be in accordance with ASTM-B-221, 6061, Temper T6. Federal STD No. 245 extrusion tolerances apply. Dimensioning and tolerances are in accordance with ANSI Y14.5. Respondents to this RFI are requested to address the following information in their response to the Government: • A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) quotation per extrusion (2ft X 12ft) • Business size (8a, small, women owned, etc.) • Corporate capability and experience • Technical capability • Quality Assurance certifications • Production capability including facilities Responses should cite RFI number N68335-11-RFI-7115C and be addressed to the attention of Mrs. Christine Sager, Code 2.5.2.5.2CS. All responses are due by 30 November 2010. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation MAY NOT necessarily result from this RFI. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside of the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
