Description
**********PLEASE CONTACT DENECE NORRIS(DFI), ONLY, IN WRITING TOdenece.a.norris@nasa.gov or FAX (256)-544-5028, WITH ANY CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING THISSOLICITATION. CONTACT INFORMATION IS ALSO IN THE BODY OF THIS SOLICITATION************* NASA/MSFC has a requirement for a SCXI-2097 Terminal Blocks and replace circuit boardusing Omron relays. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase this service from National Instruments Corporation on asole source basis. Competition is impractical for the following reasons: 1. The SCXI-2097 is currently in use at MSFC and is a proprietary National Instrumentdesign. The replacement circuit board is part of that proprietary design. 2. The proprietary nature of the parts under repair establishes their unavailabilityfrom other sources. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Denece A. Norris(DFI) by email, denece.a.norris@nasas.gov or fax(256)544-6560 no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on October 27, 2010. Suchcapabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 182.215.84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The installation Ombudsman is Robin N.Henderson at Robin.N.Henderson@NASA.gov.
