- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.(ii) This RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-46. (iii) This solicitation is a total small business set-aside, NAICS 212393, Other Chemical and Fertilizer Mineral Mining, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses. (iv) The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order to the responsible offeror whose total offer represents the best value for the Government. The National Park Service is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and deliver a total of 350 tons of Roadway Salt (Sodium Chloride, Common Salt, Molecular Weight 58.44 NaCl) to Fort Wadsworth (250 tons), Miller Field (50 tons), and Great Kills Park (50 tons). Roadway Salt shall be treated with, brand name or equal to FLOW EASE, in order to prevent caking. (v) LOCATIONs: 1.Fort Wadsworth, 210 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 - 250 tons2.Miller Field, 26 Miller Field, Staten Island, NY 10306 - 50 tons3.Great Kills Park, 3270 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY - 50 tons. (vi) SCHEDULE of SUBMISSIONS: One (1) invoice must be submitted after successful delivery and acceptance.(vii)SCHEDULE: November 1, 2010 through November 12, 2010. All deliveries must be made between the hours of 6:00am and 1:00pm. Vendor must call Carol Thompson at 646-879-0626, prior to delivery. The Contractor shall supply copies of weight/quarry tickets showing the type of material, quantity, delivery date and contract number attached to corresponding invoices. All tickets must be signed by an employee from the Roads and Grounds Division.(viii)DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN QUOTE: 1.Specifications describing salt treatment.2.A firm fixed price quote, provided on the attached bid schedule.3.Three (3) references of the proposed services within the past five years4.Name, phone number, and address of your point of contact. (ix) The Government contemplates the award of a single purchase order on a "low-price-technically-acceptable" basis.(x) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.(xi) FAR provisions/clauses listed below apply. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted in the same manner as the solicitation; it is your responsibility to monitor the website. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
