Estimated issue date October 29, 2010 and estimated closing/response date November 29, 2010 PR#: FD2030-11-80223 RFP#: SPRTA1-11-R-0031 Nomenclature/Noun: Amplifier-Computer used on E-3 Aircraft, Part Number 3757514-2 (Cage 55972), NSN 6615-01-210-7853. AMC: 3C History: Repair Contract Awarded July 2, 2010 to Honeywell International Inc (Cage 5Y043) on Contract FA8103-06-D-0067-0011 for 8 each. The Spares Contract was awarded on February 17, 1989 to contractor unknown with Cage Code 55972 for 55 each. The Estimated Unit Price: $30,153.00. L/I 0001 -Maximum quantity of 21, with Minimum of 4 and Medium of 14. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 19.4500 (IN), Height 7.620 (IN), Width 15.3800 (IN), Weight 40.0000 (LB). Item Function: Digital amplifier for E-3 autopilot system. Material: Aluminum alloy and electronic components. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved source. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activities procedures, as approved by the Cognizant Government engineering activity. Complete data with unlimited rights is available for manufacture of this item; however prequalification of alternate sources is required to maintain part quality and reliability. Currently, Honeywell International Inc (Cage 55972) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Honeywell International Inc (Cage 55972). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
