- FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: Andrea Battaglia, Logistics Management Specialist, (443)861-2935. The GUADRAIL weapon system team requests technical support for the GUARDRAIL system. Support will include acquisition of spare parts and technical support. The contractor will be required to provide solutions to obsolescence issues to enable sustainment of this equipment. The contractor will also be responsible to maintain the relevance of the equipment to combat vanishing vendor issues. The contractor will be asked to maintain an inventory of spares to meet a turn-around time of 48 hours for any failures of the equipment. The USG does not hold right drawing beyond a top level and the OEM holds proprietary rights to data on these items. All interested parties considering submission in support of this request for technical support should submit a white paper no greater than 10 pages in length and should include at a minimum the following information: 1) Provide evidence of the contractors facilities and experience with type of testing. 2) Provide evidence of past performance on similar projects in support of the requested work. 3) Respondents may offer white papers on a total support approach or on any subset of this support requirement. This documentation may be mailed to US Army, Commander CECOM, AMSEL-LC-IEW-ILS-AC, Building 6006, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 to the attention of Andrea Battaglia. Documentation may also be sent to electronic address Andrea.Battaglia1@us.army.mil. To be considered as part of the market research database, documentation should be received no later than 25 October 2010. No phone inquiries will be accepted either as a response to this action or for information or questions prior to submission of your response. All requests for information must be in writing to the addresses above. The government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this synopsis. Respondent firms should indicate whether or not they are a small business.
