This is a Sources Sought Announcement-SSA surveying the market for additional sources to manufacture and/or repair the Power Supply 28V DC, NSN: 6130-01-581-4795. This item has been previously procured from Arnold Magnetics Corporation, Cage Code: 04879. Arnold Supplier Part Number: PBD-28-214, and Tobyhanna Army Depot--TYAD Vendor Item Drawing # 610228. This SSA is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid, Request for Quotation, or Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Information supplied via responses will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government shall arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or part, any contractor input resulting from this request. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Army in developing its acquisition strategy, Performance Work Statement, Statement of Objectives and/or Performance Based Specification. Parties responding are responsible to adequately label proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their responses. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this action. The Government possesses the aforementioned Vendor Item Drawing, Control # 610228, containing specification requirements, which can be made available to interested parties upon written request once necessary information about the company inquiring has been verified. Detailed technical data, manufacturing and test-repair documentation cannot be supplied by the Army as they are not available. Interested supplier(s) must supply documentation such as test specification, drawings, manufacturing data, test results, repair information, final acceptance test procedures, available resources such as experienced technical personnel and facilities, and copy of purchase order(s) to demonstrate that interested party can indeed satisfactorily manufacture and/or repair the item in accordance with its specification. Interested party must provide rough order of magnitude price estimate to produce and-or repair the item based on price break or cost savings for low, mid and high range quantities, and estimated delivery schedule after receipt of an order should the action result in a contract. Companies that have demonstrated capability to satisfy the requirement through submission of specification, drawings, repair data, and acceptance test procedures for same or similar products previously built or repaired and satisfactorily delivered, can make arrangement to view and inspect a sample hardware unit. Sample hardware will not be made available for any destructive processes and shall remain in operable condition code A.
