Description
Note: All responses to this Invitation for Bid (IFB) shall be mailedto Western Area Power Administration, P.O. Box 6457, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457. Physical address for hand carried bids: Western Area Power Administration, 615 S. 43rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Western Area Power Administration, Desert South West Region, has a construction project requirement which consists of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, equipment and other resources required to complete this construction project titled North Havasu Substation, Stage 02. The principal components of work include installing new Government-furnished manual group-operated disconnect switch WW4A with supports; current transformer QW4A with supports; coupling capacitor voltage transformers VW4A with supports, and circuit breaker JW3A. Work will also include installing new take off structure, bus frame support and switch operating platforms. Place of Performance is near Lake Havasu City, AZ in Mohave County, Arizona. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The NAICS code for the project is 237130 and the size standard is $33.5 Million. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated with an estimated completion date of April 1, 2011. This is a 100% Full and Open Competition - Sealed Bidding. A site visit will be identified when the solicitation is issued. Any non-U.S. citizen (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. It is anticipated that the solicitation, specifications and drawings, will be available for download at http://e-center.doe.gov or http://www.fbo.gov on or about October 29th, 2010. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Agency.
