- San Francisco VA Medical Center Renovation of Morgue Project #662-10-039 General Intention: Contractor shall furnish labor and materials needed to perform demolition, construction, and installation of all equipment for Project #662-10-039 "Renovation of Morgue" in the basement of Bldg. 203 located at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center as required by drawings and specifications. Visits to the site by bidders may be made only by appointment with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), Nicholo Rustia, at the Engineering Office, San Francisco (415) 221-4810. The purpose of this project is to bring the Morgue Suite up to VA code compliance and to renovate the area to accommodate new equipment essential for disposing dangerous vapors. Scope of Work: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the requirements of "Project #662-10-039, Renovation of Morgue". The Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment and tools, specialty services (i.e. Industrial Hygienist & Asbestos abatement), and supervision to renovate the morgue located in the basement of Bldg. 203 at the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) in San Francisco, CA according to drawings and specifications. The contractor must provide all demolition and construction services and all associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment and utility work as required by plans and specifications. The Contractor must submit to the COTR all materials, parts, and equipment for approval. Review for submittals and re-submittals will require at least two (2) weeks for review. Asbestos abatement is part of this scope of work. Attached to this package is the Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) survey for the morgue area. After installation of the new HVAC system (AHU, condensing unit, exhaust fans, duct work, etc.) and all ventilation equipment, the contractor must provide testing of each item to show capabilities and correct function. The contractor shall perform a test and balance (TAB) on the HVAC and submit a completed report. The contractor must submit a complete project schedule within two (2) weeks of Notice To Proceed (NTP). After hours and weekend work may be required for removal and installation of equipment and materials. All work to be completed in 180 calendar days from NTP.
