Description
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to conduct subsurface explorations on the right intake channel slope at Birch Hill Dam, Royalston, Massachusetts. The geotechnical engineering services to be performed under this scope of work are as follows: Develop and submit a work plan for the project and accident prevention plans including an activity hazard analysis. Core two (2) 60-ft borings at the locations shown on an attached figure in the Statement of Work. The entire rock core will be collected from both borings, placed in wood core boxes and delivered to the USACE NAEs office loading dock located at 696 Virginia Road, Concord, Massachusetts. Take the required submittals in summary form (including accident prevention plan, work plan and driller field logs) to the USACE. The estimated cost of this procurement will be no more than $25,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 22 October 2010 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) which links to the FedTeds website (see below). Prospective contractors are required to self register their firm on the Internet to receive this solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at https://www.fedteds.gov. Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 541690 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
