- Small Business-HUB Zone set aside This Request for Information (RFI) has been posted on www.fbo.gov The U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES, http://ies.ed.gov/), is conducting market research. This Request for Information (RFI) is being used to determine the availability and capability of Hub Zone Small Businesses only that can provide web-related research and dissemination services to support IES efforts to share its work widely with a diverse audience that include practitioners, policymakers, and researchers. Information submitted in response to this RFI may be used as a basis for a future solicitation and/or as a basis for more in-depth research about an organization's capability. IES anticipates the award of a firm fixed price contract for this support. Capability packages must not exceed 10 pages. The capability package for this RFI is not expected to be a proposal, but rather statements and descriptions about the company's existing experience (and past performance) in the area of research dissemination services, especially education research. Services to be provided include: (1) Conducting usability studies and focus groups on the IES website aimed at determining how various education stakeholders (e.g., practitioners, policymakers, and researchers) use the website, proposing website improvement ideas, and designing website prototypes. This work may also involve writing and creating web content. (2) Graphic design, including creating an image library, for reports and other materials. (3) Creating narrated online presentations about writing education research documents for different audiences and in different formats. (4) Planning and executing webinars for education stakeholders on education topics. (5) Writing and editorial support, including speech writing, for all forms of communications (e.g., formal and informal presentations). Writing may include brief summaries and synopses suitable for a diverse audience (6) Planning media release strategies for major IES reports, includes planning and executing releases, briefings on specific topics, drafting press releases, and creating targeted contact lists for releases. Areas where a contractor does not have prior experience should be noted as such. If planning to team or subcontract, identify firm(s) and identify task(s) to be performed by subcontractor. Interested Hub Zone Small Business parties are asked when submitting the Capability Statements to include the following information: 1) Company Name and Mailing Address; 2) Point of contact (name, title, email address, and telephone number), DUNS number and CAGE Code number. NOTE: The government will not pay for the provision of any information nor will it compensate any respondents for providing this information. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IN NO WAY OBLIGATES THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD ANY CONTRACT. ED WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONDING TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
