Description
The following information is provided as part of a market survey of industry to determine if any potential contractors have the skill, knowledge, abilities, and equipment required to complete this effort. The F-16 International Program is planning a program for procurement and sustainment of general (i.e., avionic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical) support equipment for the F-16 International Community. This effort will provide for total life cycle system management (TLCSM) functions associated with F-16 general support equipment. Services include production, repair, and test of support equipment at the system-, line repairable unit-, and subsystem repairable unit-levels. This requires initial provisioning and spares requirement determination, maintenance of new and existing government furnished equipment and property, any modifications, and software support. Required activities include generation of system/subsystem specifications, design and analysis followed by integration and test to verify system performance, obsolescence, and diminishing manufacture sources and material shortages (DMSMS) identification, configuration and data management, engineering/technical services and training development/management for the customer. It is imperative that the contractor have access to the OEM engineering data for the performance of tasks identified in the solicitation. Potential sources are invited to submit a Statement of Capabilities by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Standard time on 7 Oct 2010 to the following address: F-16 Contracting (OO-ALC/GHBK), Attn: Preston Davis, 6072 Fir Avenue/Bldg 1233, HAFB, UT 84056-5819 or colleen.checketts@hill.af.mil. Submissions should be limited to 10 pages and be specific in outlining source's capabilities to provide procurement and sustainment of F-16 general support equipment and tasks stated. Note: THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. This is a sources sought synopsis only, not a request for proposals (RFP), and this is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this synopsis. No proprietary data should be submitted in response to the synopsis. Any submissions will be considered to be public information and may be handled by non-government personnel.
