Description
Attached is the Commerce CRM RFI Statement of Requirements. GENERAL: The Department of Commerce (DOC) is conducting market research in order to determine the capabilities of software vendors to help meet requirements of the Department's Customer Relationship Management System (CRM). For the purposes of this RFI, the government defines software vendors as the proprietary owners of the software or their designate. See attached document for detailed description of requirement and submission instructions. BACKGROUND: The Department seeks to develop an ongoing, performance driven CRM with agency-wide involvement. The CRM will provide information tracking, a unified view of that information, opportunity identification and generation, and mission support features which allow all Department agencies to sustain lasting relationships at critical touch points as well as give DOC staff the ability to understand, anticipate, manage and personalize interactions with current and potential customers and staff. RESPONSE DUE DATE: Questions relating to this RFI must be submitted in written form and submitted to Darryl Anderson, Contracting Officer on or before 12:00 noon on October 1, 2010. The government will provide written responses to vendor submitted questions by October 8, 2010. Responses to the request for information shall be provided in five bound hardcopies and include one electronic version on a compact disc (CD) in Microsoft Word 2007 format. An outline of the product demonstration agenda should also be submitted and include a response that indicates if the vendor is capable of offering their demonstration online (i.e. WEBEX, GoToMeeting, etc.). Submission shall be mailed to: Darryl Anderson, Contracting Officer on or before 12:00 noon on November 5, 2010. Vendor demonstrations will be scheduled from November 29, 2010 through December 10, 2010. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. DISCLAIMER: It is emphasized that the requested information is for preliminary planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that Department of Commerce will solicit you for such procurement in the future. The Government shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by you in furnishing this information.
