- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources capable of providing Nephrology services. Services are to be provided at the Boise VA Medical Center, 500 West Fort Street, Boise, Idaho 83702. The period of performance will be for one year with options to extend. Contracted services for a Nephrologist is estimated at four half-day clinics (minimum of 5 hours per clinic) per month for a total of 48 clinics per year. Nephrology outpatient clinics for evaluation of new patients and follow up appointments will have 8-12 appointment slots per day. Contractor will also provide unlimited monthly consultation to include on-call which may include urgent or emergent procedures. The Contractor will provide the amount of work a 0.5 FTEE staff Nephrologist would perform. Contractor will provide unlimited telephone consultation services to VA physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Response time will be within 30 minutes from the time the call is initiated. Contractor must be located within a 15 mile radius of the Boise VA Medical Center to ensure response for emergent procedures within 30 minutes. Contractor will provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology services to the veteran population at the Boise VAMC. Contractor will provide oversight of individual dialysis prescription delivery and procedures for inpatients. All work will be performed at the Boise VAMC. Contractor will provide educational lectures (one per month), as well as clinical oversight and education of physician assistants, medical staff, nurses, pharmacists and social workers.
