- Description
- This Project is a Design Bid Build to Construct a New Troop Feeding Facility and Community Activity Center (TFF-CAC) at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida; and to demolish the existing TFF Facility, Building 401. The TFF-CAC will be about 18,369 SF, accommodate approximately 15 staff members, as well as have the ability to feed up to approximately 450 people with a seating area able to seat approximately 300 diners. The Bar/Lounge area can serve another 50 people, while the Community Activity Center (CAC) can accommodate approximately 40 people. The facility will meet all User, storage and administrative requirements and will meet LEED Silver Level Version 3.0. The project will include all site grading and utilities. Features of the TFF-CAC will include load bearing masonry walls, metal roofing, HVAC, plumbing, fixtures, interior finishes and furnishings, and all improvements necessary to provide a complete and usable facility. The Construction Cost Limitation for the project is approximately $6,918,000. The performance period is 510 days. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP) Best Value and the basis for award was the tradeoff process. The evaluation factors for this procurement were provided in the solicitation. These factors were evaluated by the government and included Safety, Experience, Past Performance, and Pro Forma Information. The estimate issue date was 20 July 2010 with a proposal due date of 19 August 2010.
