Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 22 Network Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source procurement in accordance with the FAR Part 13 to Republic Silver State Disposal, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The procurement is for the removal and disposal of commercial and biomedical hazardous waste for the VA Las Vegas Healthcare System. Republic Silver State Disposal is a county-franchised waste management company and exclusively authorized to dispose waste materials by Clark County, Nevada. They have the expertise and highly trained personnel to properly handle the biohazards and infectious materials in accordance with proper guidelines when collecting, storing, removing, transporting, and disposing. The attached justification and approval for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government may consider all interested inquires if received by September 28, 2010, 4:00 PM Standard Pacific Time from Clark County authorized vendors to perform the required services in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to the requirement by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, E-mail address and Point of contact. Inquires received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail or facsimile at (562) 961-1359. Fax submissions must be followed up with an email confirmation to the Contracting Officer.
