- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested. A full copy of the Bid Price Schedule (including contract line item numbers), Statement of Work, Basis of Award, and Wage Determination are contained in the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) and any subsequent Amendments. The NAICS code for this requirement is 488210, and the small business standard is $7.0 Million. This requirement is 100% set-aside for eligible 8(a) firms on a Competitive basis. The Army requires a service contract for on-call maintenance and repair to the railroad system at Fort Stewart, GA on an as needed, as funded basis. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supplies, tools, instruments, and supervision required to perform the requirements of this proposed contract. The provisions incorporated into this combined synopsis/solicitation (including 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5) can be found in the attached RFQ. The provisions/clauses that are required to be completed and returned with quote submission are identified in Important Instructions in the attached RFQ. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is anticipated. Service shall commence 01 October 2010 or within three (3) calendar days after contract award, whichever is later, and continue through 30 September 2011. This contract contains options to extend the term of the contract for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Quote submission information, as well as site visit information can be found in Important Instructions, in the attached RFQ. Contractors submitting quotes must submit the requested information identified in Important Instructions in the attached RFQ in order to be eligible for award. Contractors who have questions pertaining to this shall follow the procedures identified in Important Instructions in the attached RFQ. Quoters are reminded to carefully review the attached RFQ document as well as the attached Amendment as criteria stated in the RFQ and Amendment shall govern. It is the contractors responsibility to check FedBizOpps as necessary for any posted changes to this combined synopsis/solicitation and all amendments.
