Description
The VISN 21 Consolidated Contracting Activity at San Francisco VA Medical Center, San Francisco, California plans to issue a Request for Proposal for Radiation Oncology Services. The Contractor shall provide consultations and comprehensive radiation therapy services to eligible VA beneficiaries referred for evaluation as appropriate to each patient's situation. Comprehensive radiation therapy is defined as all services required in the delivery of radiation therapy treatments, to include, but not limited to, clinic treatment planning, simulation, medical radiation physics, dosimetry, treatment devices, special services, high end therapies (including but not limited to stereotactic radiosurgery, and clinical treatment management. Normal follow-up care associated with the course of treatment is included in the definition of comprehensive radiation therapy. Under the terms of this contract, "comprehensive radiation therapy" shall begin when treatment planning begins. Pharmacy, laboratory, imaging and social services that could be provided at the VA without significant inconvenience to the patient are not included in this definition. The Contractor shall also provide intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and stereotactic body therapy (SBRT). All requests for IMRT, SRS, and SBRT must have prior authorization. The services shall be performed at the contractor's facility within Reno, Nevada. NAICS code 621111 applies with a size standard of $10 million. This solicitation will be unrestricted full and open competition. The contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract with a guaranteed $50,000.00 minimum per contract year and is expected to include a one-year basic period, with two one-year options. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-261-10-RP-0162 The solicitation will be issued on or about September 24, with an anticipated proposal due date of October 15, 2010. The offeror is responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the website listed above, without further notification from the VA Contracting Officer. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Vendors wishing to conduct business with the VA must complete and submit a Standard Form (SF-3881) to VA FSC; it can be submitted by fax to (512) 460-5221.
