- The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region Seven (7), Alaska, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase to Telonics, Inc, 932 E. Impala Avenue, Mesa, Arizona 85204. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region Seven (7), Alaska, requires 40 VHS Transmitters for moose collars with the below specifiations. Product specifications:Model 600MS6 Mortality Motion Sensor (activates after 10hrs)Standard White Collar CLM-340, 34-52" adjustmentTA-5HFT - TIA-1 internal antennaCast 1 - WhitePulse width 50bpm (active) 100 bpm (inactive)VHF Beacon cycle: On 12 hours,1700 GMT, Off 12 hours (0500 GMT) Work description: 1) Radio transmitters manufactured by Telonics are hermetically sealed and offer the fullest protection from the elements from radio failure. 2) Telonics offers replacement for failed transmitters for the life of the transmitter. 3) Telonics has been used by our station for over 20 years and has a record of high quality products and service.4) Our station has thousands of dollars of Telonics equipment (antennas, receivers, transmitters) that are fully compatible with Telonics equipment. We also intend, as a cost savings, to salvage radio crystals from old Telonics VHF collars in storage and use them in refurbished collars. This savings can only occur if we use Telonics products.5) A followup acquisition will also be processed in FY11 that will include refurbishment of currently owned Telonics satellite transmitters equipment. This will also provide our station with cost savings. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Solicit from one source. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received.
