- The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (27 SOCONS/CFLT) is seeking information concerning the availability of sources to provide radios. These radios are to be used to connect special forces with dropoff aircraft. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. Contact with Government personnel other than those specified in this RFI by potential offerors or their employees regarding this project is prohibited. This sources sought notice is an announcement seeking market information on vendors capable of providing the supplies as described herein. 27 SOCONS/CFLT is currently conducting market research to locate vendors capable of offering the supplies with the features required. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Information requested in this sources sought, specifically, is: To request information in regards to the Harris radio PRC-152. It is known that they are capable of connecting via what is called High Performance Waveform (HPW). Cannon AFB would like to know if there are any other brands which can connect to existing Harris radios already in service using HPW. If so, information on compatable makes/models would be appreciated. For description of requirements that the supply must meet (at minimum), please see attached. All questions regarding this RFI that are necessary to provide information must be submitted NLT 20 Sep 2010; 1630 MDT. A Q&A section will be posted to this RFI to provide all questions and answers to be viewed publicly. If your firm is capable of providing the requirements described above, please provide any item data to A1C Jolley, Travis.Jolley@cannon.af.mil (575)784-7472 by 20 Sep 2010, @ 1630 MDT. The Item data should include any manufacturer brochures that describe at a minimum the features required above. General information and technical background describing your firm's experience servicing warranties should also be included. Published literature may be any number of pages. At a minimum the following information is requested: (1) Company Cage Code, DUNS, name, address, point of contact and their telephone number and e-mail address; (2) Approximate annual gross revenue; (3) Any small business status (8(a), HUB Zone, veteran-owned, women-owned, etc.); (4) Indicate which NAICS code(s) your company usually performs under for Government contracts; (5) GSA Contract number.
