- The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Contracting Division, Software Section (DITCO/PL8321), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to Computer Corporation Of America (CCA), 200 West Street 3RD FL W, Waltham, MA for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This acquisition, for Defense Information Systems Agency - Computing Services, is for the continued software maintenance support for CCA's M204. This effort is in support of operations for multiple customers at DECC St. Louis, DECC Mechanicsburg, and SMC Ogden. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). CCA is the only known vendor that can provide the needed software modifications when required. No other vendor or distributor can legally obtain access to the software and no other vendor can make duplicate copies since it is protected by copyright and patent laws. This maintenance is proprietary and available only from CCA, as it owns the intellectual property rights to the source code and will not release it to any resellers. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting clear evidence of their capability to provide/perform. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within 3 days of publication of this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
