- RECOVERY - IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA), PUBLIC LAW 111-5, THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMISISTRATION (NOAA), EASTERN ACQUISITION DIVISION - KANSAS CITY (EAD-KC) ANNOUNCES THE AWARD OF CONTRACT NUMBER WC133F-10-CN-0336 TO FUEL TANK MAINTENANCE COMPANY OF COOKEVILLE, TN TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES OF THE CONSTRUCTION FOR THE SEAWATER INTAKE/DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR THE NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE (NMFS) LABORATORY, LOCATED AT 4700 U AVENUE, GALVESTON, TX 77551. DESCRIPTION: This serves as notice of award of Contract Number WC133F-10-CN-0336 to Fuel Tank Maintenance Company of Cookeville, TN to provide the service of construction for the seawater intake/delivery system for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Laboratory located in Galveston, TX. Work to be performed will consist of the following: A. RECOVERY - The "Work" is described in the Contract Documents including the plans and specifications and shall be referred to for detailed requirements of this Work. The Work generally includes but is not limited to the following: • Installation of intake piping and intake screen. • Installation of concrete piles and pump vault. • Installation of pumps and accessories. • Installation of piping and conduit from the pump vault to the sea wall. • Installation of piping and conduit from sea wall to Fort Crocket Blvd. inside an existing storm sewer. • Installation of piping and conduit from Fort Crocket Blvd. to inside the Building 301 Pump House. • Connection of electrical power supply. • Removal of existing intake screen, intake piping, pump, and electrical equipment. • System start-up and testing.
