- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is for the replacement of rail (bridge and runway) and electrification, on specific bridge crane systems located in Bldg. 350 at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA. Existing Arch Beam is being replaced along with Bulldog trolley duct electrification. The arch beam is being replaced with 8 Tarca Track, and the bulldog electrification is being replaced with either enclosed four-bar continuous conductor (runways) or flat cable festooning (bridges). Splice plates, end stops, and all associated hardware shall be included. Also, new collector shoes, hangers, junction boxes, and all necessary hardware to perform the electrical upgrades shall be included. The contractor shall perform the rework as described in the scope of work in its entirety, including all labor associated with removal of existing rail and electrification and installation of all new equipment.
