Description

RECOVERY- Demolition of New York Water Wells In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement to demolish 8 discontinued water wells. This must be completed at various sites throughout New York. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The procurement is anticipated to include a period of performance of 28 September 2010 to 30 September 2011. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be on the internet on or about 13 September 2010. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation amendments (if any). A formal solicitation, statement of work, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time. The requirement is being issued as a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237110 and the size standard is $7,000,000. There is not an incumbent contractor. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by the contractor will utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
