- NASA/DFRC has a requirement to purchase 2 each VHF navigation system (RockwellCollins Model No. NAV-4000/4500 (Single ADF, Optional Dual ADF Brand Name or Equal) and 1 additional NAV-4000 receiver (VOR, ILS, Marker Beacon, ADF Receiver, Part Number822-1465-001, Brand Name or Equal), associated documentation, and miscellaneous hardwarethat is compliant with Sections 3.0 through 6.0 of the SOW. The VHF navigation systemsupplied must meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or equivalent airworthinessstandards and Technical Standard Orders (TSO) qualifications where appropriate. - i.e The specifications and drawings are linked above or may be accessed athttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. ]Note: See attached Statement of Work (SOW) and Quality Assurance Form Q-4 (e.g. FAA 8130Airworthiness Certificate Requirement).This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 22, 2010. Quotations/proposals shall besubmitted no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 25, 2010. (Prospective quotersshall notify this office of their intent to submit a quotation. It is the quoter'sresponsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
