Description
The National Park Service intends to issue solicitation number Q6640110567 Request for Quotation for the service of Solid Waste pick-up and disposal at Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Van Buren, Missouri. Solid waste pickup will be performed on the lower Current River located within Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The area identified for trash pickup is the Big Spring area. Big Spring is located on Highway 103 south of Van Buren, MO in Carter County..Competition for this project is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 562111 with the size standard of $12.5M. The award will be a single, firm fixed price contract. If no qualified small business concerns provide a reasonable quote, large business will be considered. All size businesses are encouraged to provide a quote, however if a qualified small business does provide a quote every attempt will be made to make award to a small business. The solicitation will be released on or about 10 September, 2010 and made available to the public free of charge by electronic posting. Any prospective bidder may obtain bid documents on line via internet address at https://www.fbo.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be mailed, faxed or emailed. Plan holders will be required to visit the website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the solicitation document. No other notification will be sent. The proposed acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR PART 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and PART 37 - Service Contracting. This project is subject to Service Contract Act. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 10 September, 2010. Prior to ORCA, vendors were required to submit representations and certifications (Reps and Certs) for each individual large purchase contract award. Now, using ORCA, a contractor can enter their Reps and Certs information once for use on all federal contracts. This site not only benefits the contractor by allowing them to maintain an accurate and complete record but also the Contracting Officer as they can view records, including archives, by the click of a mouse. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
