- Notice of Intent Sole Source Requisition No. W73QKK-0218-0001-000 The National Capital Region Contracting Center (NCRCC) on behalf of the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C) (1)-FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(b)- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to VMware, Inc. 3401 Hillview Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94304. VMware Incorporated is the owner and has full right and title to license software package VMware Enterprise Plus Acceleration Kit and VMware vSphere 4 Enterprise Plus. VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus includes the full range of vSphere features for transforming datacenters into dramatically simplified cloud computing environments providing the next generation of flexible, reliable IT services. The Headquarters Army Materiel Command (HQ AMC) has created a common operating environment (e.g., common toolsets, business processes, engineering processes, policy and governance) through the use of Provision software tool that allows the results of individual projects (e.g. architecture and system design) to combine into a larger enterprise that ultimately spans all functional areas and mission capabilities of AMC. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole-source contract was limited to the least amount of time necessary to obtain full and open competition as soon as possible. Phone calls will not be accepted.
