Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity-8, in support of James A. Haley Veterans Hospital intends to negotiate a noncompetitive award under Request for Quotation number VA-248-10-RP-0660, with TRANSOUTH, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to provide Non-emergency Courtesy Transportation Services for James A Haley, Veterans Hospital, located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612. This procurement is a sole source award pursuant to authority of sections 502 and 503 of Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006 (38 U.S.C. §8127 (b)) and VAAR 819.7007 Sole source award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to award a fixed price Requirements contract in accordance with all terms and conditions of the solicitation. The NAICS code is assigned to this acquisition is, 485991 and the small business size standard is $7.0M. Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, specified supplies, and resources necessary to provide non-emergency transportation for wheelchair, stretcher, and other beneficiaries of the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. The contractor shall have and maintain the appropriate license(s) required to perform to the Statement of Work. Service is required 24hrs per day, seven (7) days/week, to include Federal Holidays. The contract performance period consists of: One year base period, and one optional one year period. (1 Oct 2010 “ 30 Sep 2012) these dates may be adjusted based upon actual date of award).
