- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items to be acquired under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation (paper copy) will not be issued. Further, offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. Solicitation FA8751-10-Q-0020 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-45 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice (DCN) 2010827. See http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ for the full text of all provisions and clauses incorporated by reference herein. This procurement is being issued as a total small business set aside under NAICS code541511 and small business size standard is average annual receipts of $25M The contractor shall provide the following items on a firm fixed price basis: LEGATO EMC Networker Support for Host ID 84804D21 Description from 1 October 2010 - 30 September 2011: Serial Number 2005616, AEM ID: 383257, Networker Server Network Edition Linux Serial Number 2001721, AEM ID: 383256, Networker ClientPak for Unix Serial Number 2002750, AEM ID: 606193, Networker ClientPak for Windows Serial Number 1989185, AEM ID: 383253, Networker Autochanger Software Module 1-16 Slots Serial Number 1990772, AEM ID: 383254, Networker Client Connections-Qty 25 Serial Number 1990773, AEM ID: 383255, Networker Client Connections-Qty 25 Serial Number 10397813, AEM ID: 482059, Networker ClientPak for MAC OS-X Serial Number 10397814, AEM ID: 482058, Networker Client Connections-Qty 100 Serial Number 10397812, AEM ID: 482057, Networker Autochanger Software Module 1-16 Slots Offerors shall provide at least the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public in customary commercial practice. Note: In accordance with FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds, funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The period of performance is 1 October 2010 - 30 September 2011. The place of delivery, acceptance and FOB destination point is F4HBM3/Transportation Officer Depot 2, 148 Electronic Parkway, Rome, NY 13441-4516. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Addenda to the following paragraphs of 52.212-1 are: (b) Quotes are due at or before 12PM, Monday 13 September 2010. Submit to: quotes by email to robert.gigliotti@rl.af.mil. Offerors are encouraged to submit their quotes using the SF 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items. (b)(10) Offerors are not required to submit past performance information. (k) Central Contractor Registration. Offerors must be registered in the CCR database to receive a contract award. If the offeror does not become registered in the CCR database within four (4) days after receiving notification from the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered offeror. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999) applies. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract as a result of this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose quote is the most advantageous based on Price. The representations and certifications found in the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (AUG 2009) and ALT I must be completed electronically on the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website at http://orca.bpn.gov. Therefore, offerors are required to complete only paragraph (b) of this provision and submit it with their quote. For your convenience, paragraph (b) of 52.212-3 is attached to this solicitation.
