Description
TRICARE Management Activities (TMA) Office of Chief Medical Officer, Patient Safety Program to provide 36-month subscription for 166 military installations and seven DoD facilities to currently published pharmaceutical newsletters focusing on medication errors and patient safety. The statutory permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) is the nations only nonprofit organization devoted entirely to medication error prevention and safe medication use. ISMP represents over 30 years of experience in helping healthcare practitioners keep patients safe, and continues to lead efforts to improve the medication use process. The organization is known and respected worldwide as the premier resource for impartial, timely, and accurate medication safety information. The service is to a 36-month subscription for 166 military installations and seven DoD facilities to currently published pharmaceutical newsletters focusing on medication errors and patient safety. Specifically, the ISMP will provide three newsletters focusing on 1) acute care health systems, 2) community/ambulatory systems, and 3) consumers (patient & family). Support will be provided on a 12-month base plus two Option Years. Any firm that believes it can provide the services required is invited to submit a written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide these services. Information must be sent to Ms. Jennifer Dunlap via e-mail utilizing MS Word or.PDF File at jennifer.m.dunlap@us.army.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source Contract.
