- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to solicit, in support of PSNS&IMF, to purchase five each Double Chamber Blast Vessel (Safe Systems, Model MSA-3, OR EQUAL, 4-Outlet, Double Chamber Blast Vessel) and shall include the following minimum/equivalent features: Provide high production capacity (4-outlet) for up to four blast operator. Two lifting pads eyes shall be installed on the top (opposite sides) of the blast vessel, and be Non-Destructed Tested (NDT) and be certified with the capability to be lifted by a crane. These lifting pad eyes shall also be used to secure/connect (via turn buckles) the blast vessel to a government owned hopper. ASME coded blast vessel rated for 150 PSI working pressure. Double chamber (2 separate chambers) integrated together to provide a continuous, uninterrupted supply of abrasives to the bottom chamber. This feature shall allow the operators to never have to stop blasting operations to fill the blast vessel in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The blast vessel shall have a 9 6 approximate height (to the top of the tank). An addition 6 collar (or collar with cover) shall be mounted on top of the tank, and provide an 11 diameter opening. The outside dimensions of the base of the blast vessel shall have a 4 5 width and 5 4 length. Four (4) - OSHA approved hand operated Dead Man Control switches. FOB Destination to PSNS&IMF, Silverdale, WA. Specifications include providing technical documentation and manuals, and warranty. Required delivery date is 120 Days after contract award. Funds are currently not available for this requirement. If the contracting officer does not obtain funding by 15 October 2010, the solicitation will be cancelled. Numbered Note One applies The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors resulting in award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 4 September 2010 with a closing on 14 September 2010. Complete specifications to be included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed.
