- THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY, NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR SOLICITATION. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capability of small businesses, including 8(a) certified businesses, service-disabled veteran owned small businesses, HUB Zone small businesses, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small businesses to provide an Automatic ISeries Alpha/Beta Counter Instrument for the analysis of radionuclides in regulated products and for radiological emergency response efforts. Salient Characteristics/Specific Requirements: • The System must be gas-less • Detection: the instrument shall be a low background level alpha/beta counter, specially the background requirement shall meet the following: Alpha: less than 0.08 cpm Beta: less than 0.75 cpm • Efficiency Requirement: Am-241 at least 30.0% (50 mm) Beta Sr-90 at least 22.0% (50 mm) Typical Efficiency: Source 16mm 25mm 36mm 50mm 241 Am Alpha 39.9% 39.5% 38.2% 33.8% 90Sr Beta 29.6% 29.3% 28.4% 5.1% 60Co Beta 12.0% 11.8% 11.5% 10.1% • Sample Changer Capacity: At least 50 samples • Power Requirement: The system must be able to adapt the voltage from 100v to 240v and frequency from 50Hz to 60Hz. • Dimension: No larger than 125 cm x 60 cm x 80cm • Environmental: Must be able to operate at the temperature range from -10c to 40c, non-condensing humidity • Printer: The instrument should have a printer (110v) and must be able to easily networked to any printer • Shipping and handling to Winchester, MA 01890 Each response should include the following Business Information: a.
