- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NGA intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210 with a small business size standard of $25M. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) requires 1 IBM SPSS Modeler Premium Client - T5C, 4 1 IBM SPSS Modeler Premium Server 200 PVU Server, 1 IBM SPSS Maintenance/Technical Support and Future Product Upgrades. The period of performance is set to begin on 15 September 2010 through 14 September 2011. The proprietary SPSS software provides the ability to manipulate large amounts of data, from multiple databases, allowing analysts to correlate data from multiple sources. Its modular design ensures that analytical methodologies are performed consistently across different epochs and users. SPSS Modeler also has a predictive modeling capability, providing a method of using historical data to predict future trends, and a text mining capability. The ability to correlate large sets of data, predictive analysis, and text mining are not available with any other software currently available. Since SPSS software programs are already integrated into the NGA system, only SPSS software meets the form, fit, and function requirements of NGA at this time. Another brand of software would not allow NGA to seamlessly interact with and support our many partners. The statutory authority for this acquisition is Section 4202 of the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996 and FAR 6.3. Delivery is FOB Destination. Delivery will be made to: NGA Navy Yard - Attn: Scott R.
