Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC), Joint Munitions & Lethality(JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, NY 12189-4000, is contemplating award of Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). Interested sources should be capable of providing engineering and fabrication for Joint Modular Intermodal Containers (JMICs). The Government shall provide either engineering drawings or specifications of the deliverables related to the JMIC. Interested sources shall have experience with aluminum fabrication and have equipment including Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines to conduct pressing, stamping, grinding, drilling, welding, milling, assembly, and painting for the fabrication of JMIC prototypes and components. For the composite JMIC variant prototype, interested sources shall have experience in plastic composite materials and be capable of using a process to fabricate the components of the JMIC without the use of expensive tooling and fixtures. Additionally, interested sources shall have the capability of bonding, cutting, assembly, and painting of composite material for the JMIC prototype. In order to receive a copy of the JMIC Technical Data Package (TDP), please send an email to christina.nigro@us.army.mil NLT 17 September 2010 requesting a copy to be mailed to your companys address. All copies of the TDP will not be mailed until 1 October 2010. The Government may enter into one or multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) as a result of this notice. This notice is set-aside to small business concerns. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email only. Submittals and questions should be directed to the following point of contact: US Army Contracting Command, Attn. Christina Nigro, CCJM-JA, Bldg. 10, Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000, or via email at christina.nigro@us.army.mil. Note, this notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ), nor will the Government be issuing a formal RFP/RFQ as this is a Blanket Purchase Agreement. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice.
