Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center intends to negotiate a purchase order on a sole source basis to Baker Adaptive Optics of Bosque Farms, New Mexico for one (1) each 39 Channel Micromachined Membrane Deformable Mirror (MMDM39), one (1) each Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor with Basler A601 camera and related hardware which includes two (2) each USB DAC modules, and three (3) each 24ch PCI DAC boards. This requirement will be utilized in order to support the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. This requirement is being issued on a sole source basis as only Baker Adaptive Optic ™s MMDM will interface with the already present control software and hardware interface for this MMDM in operational setup in the current laboratory and, will provide the necessary reliability required as the power and laboratory space currently in place allow for the operational capability of this specific MMDM. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within ten days (small purchase procedures are being used) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
