Description
The USDA Forest Service, EROC-SW under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has awarded to Komada, LLC, construction services following Architectural-Engineering (A&E) Professional Services to develop a site plan, and to modify the existing standards plans for a Fire Center at the Nervino Airport, Plumas National Forest CA. as per the "STATEMENT of WORK (S.O.W.)". The Plumas National Forest will construct a fire center on Plumas County property at Nervino Airport (0O2) in Beckwourth, CA. Elements include in the project are: a mixed occupancy structure, approximately 4,400 SF that will provide garage space and office/training space, HVAC system, parking and vehicle access area(s), buried utilities, sewer treatment or transfer system, a well with a water storage and distribution system, site perimeter fence, access gates, and landscaping. The facility will be accessed along the north boundary of the airport property via North Industrial Way, which surrounds the property to the north and west. The exact areas impacted by the buried utilities will be based on the location and size of existing nearby lines and are yet to be determined. Contractor has option to utilize or adapt previously utilized plans. Utilities infrastructure shall be capable of supporting future growth at the site. I.e. Barracks, warehouse, etc. This facility shall, at a minimum, be certified LEED Silver upon completion. The main building will include the engine bays for three (3) fire engines/crew buggies (26' in length) and provide work space for up to 27 people including a Forest Service fire crew, Beckwourth Fire Department's Crash Rescue Crew, an air-ambulance crew, and a meeting and training room for 30 persons. Piping of sewage to the nearby treatment facility. The anticipated resources and accommodations at this facility are: Vehicle parking for up to thirty employees and ten visitors. Office space with work stations for thirteen employees. Break room with kitchen. Restrooms with showers Training/ meeting room Three fire engines/crew buggies. (26' in length)
